MediaTek launches entry-level Helio gaming chipset

New Delhi, June 30 [IANS] Taiwan fabless semiconductor company MediaTek [MediaTek] on Tuesday released Helio G25 and G35 as its latest smartphone entry-level gaming chipset.

Both chips are powered by Arm Cortex-A53 CPU, designed to provide a fast gaming experience.

The company said in a statement that these chips use IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, which provides up to 650MHz and 680MHz for MediaTek Helio G25 and G35, respectively.

Due to the advanced 12nm FinFET production process, the Helio G25 and G35 have the best power efficiency, coupled with MediaTek HyperEngine's intelligent power management, which ensures long battery life and power even during a long game effectiveness.

These chips have an enhanced MediaTek HyperEngine, which can perform intelligent resource management and ensure continuous and stable performance even in demanding actions.

When the Wi-Fi signal is weak, the technology will intelligently trigger Wi-Fi and LTE concurrently within a few milliseconds to ensure a lag-free connection.

MediaTek HyperEngine also allows users to postpone calls during the game, so you never disconnect or stop the game.

In terms of cameras, both chipsets support multi-camera settings and include a hardware depth engine for dual-camera bokeh photography.

The G25 supports a single camera mode up to 21MP at 30fps, while the G35 supports up to 25MP cameras and AI-enhanced camera functions, including simulated bokeh effects.
